Today Honor have announced the launch of their 4- Layer AI Architecture that is going tool allow their ecosystem to integrate across their multi device platform, of laptops, tablets, wearables and phones. This in turn will allow the devices to all communicate seamlessly with each other to enhance cross collaboration for people using the device.
The way the architecture to work is defined below.
1) At the base layer, Cross-device and Cross-OS AI form the foundation of an open ecosystem, which allows the sharing of computing power and services among devices and operating systems.
2) Building upon this foundation, the Platform-level AI layer enables a personalised operating system, allowing intent-based human-computer interaction and personalised resource allocation.
3) At the third layer, App-level AI is poised to introduce a wave of innovative, generative AI applications that will revolutionise user experiences.
4) Lastly, at the top, the Interface to Cloud-AI services layer provides users with easy access to massive cloud services while prioritising privacy protection, creating a truly holistic and future-forward AI experience.
A use case scenario of this new architecture would be for sharing a file from your phone to laptop seamlessly without having to export it via any cloud sharing services.
Another aspect of the AI architecture is going to allow the phone to learn about your habits and make it more useful item to allow ease of use of the functions that the phone can offer. For example, if you listen to music first thing in the morning then the phone will offer up the music app when you wake up without being prompted.
Another way that AI will be used on the newly announced Honor 200 series (which was also teased today) is to help implement. This has used AI to learn. This has allowed Honor to break down the entire portrait photography process into nine distinct steps, which is now being and implemented into the new AI-enhanced Portrait mode that will be present in the new Honor phones going forward.
Another nod to the increase in AI development with Honor is the fact that Honor will be using Google Cloud to help support the back end of the AI infrastructure
The new Honor 200 Series will be announced in Paris on the 12th of June and will come with all of the enhanced AI functionality that has been announced today.
It will also include the new AI-enhanced Portrait Experience that has been co-developed with Studio Harcourt. It will also include MagicPortal the industry’s first intent-based UI.
The MagicOS 8.0 update will start it’s rollout to the Honor Magic V2 and Honor 90 in the next few weeks as well.
